Possibly he was dividing his time between the saloon and a farm at that time.4,5 He died before 1910. Jennie is listed as widowed in the 1910 census.6

     He appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Jefferson Twp, Andrew, Missouri, USA, in the household of his father, Soloman Adams.1 He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Polk, Taylor, Iowa, USA, in the household of Sarah Adams and Thomas Dakan.7 He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Polk, Taylor, Iowa, USA, enumerated 25 June 1860, Stephen Page was living near here and married Absolum's sister Permelia after the Civil War so I am guessing that this Absolam Adams is her brother..7 He and Francis Marion Adams appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Hastings, Adams, Nebraska, enumerated 12 June 1880., They appear in the household of T Tuttle along with several others, this may have been an error of the census taker to not record separate dwelling numbers for the 10 additional persons under that household.8 He and Jennie Anderson appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Hastings, Adams, Nebraska, enumerated 6 June 1900. Their children Earl and Marguerite were listed as living with them.9
