He was born in Texas, USA. Earl, his son indicated Albert wa born in Nebraska in his marriage record to Bernice Sibeck. Earl seemed to have a casual attitude about the truth of these things though.3,4 He married Salina Page, daughter of Stephen M Page and Permelia Adams, on 14 May 1889 in Claremont, Elbert, Colorado, USA. The city is listed as Claremone in the typed record, it may be a transcription error from an earlier handwritten version but it's probably an error, I can't find any record of a Claremone, Colorado. I think this part of Elbert County became Kit Carson County around 1900. I believe the town of Claremont became Stratton at some point but I haven't found any specific record of the change. I did see a document from the city of Stratton that referred to the city as 'Stratton (Formerly Claremont)'.4,1,5

I don't know if he had his name changed legally or just decided to adopt his mother's maiden name and started using it.11 He and Floy May Guinn were divorced before 17 June 1926 in California, USA. His social security application lists his name as Earl Page. He changed the surnames of his parents from Albert Stringfellow to Al Page and from Salina Page to Salina Burgess. Possibly he was avoiding support/alimony payments to one of his 2 or 3 previous wives.15 He married Vollie May Troutman, daughter of Alonzo Troutman and Sally Calvin, on 10 March 1949 in Los Angeles County, California, USA.16 In July 1977 Earl Page Stringfellow lived on 4331 Primsore St, Yuma, Yuma, Arizona, USA.17 He died on 3 July 1977 in Yuma Regional Medical Center, Yuma, Yuma, Arizona, USA, at age 88.5,17
