Muriel Irene Couch was also known as Muriel Cecile La Valle. I believe Muriel Couch and Muriel Cecile La Valle are the same person. I think she used some imagination in the marriage in California in 1922. Her last name, birthplace, residence and father don't match but her mother does and she lists her occupation as musician in the marriage document. She was listed as a piano player in the 1920 census. I am wondering if she never actually married in Washington when she was attempting to get cusody of her children.3 She was born on 3 December 1896 in Iowa, USA.1,4,2 She was the daughter of Mandeville Aaron Couch and Orah Ethyl Waters.1,2 She married William Beach Jones, son of Robert Watkin Weed Jones and Margaret Wilson, on 2 March 1913 in Seattle, King, Washington, USA.5,1 She married C Bernal Kahrs in 1918. It appears that Muriel may not have been legally married when she was trying for custody of the kids and later did marry C Bernal Kahrs in California. The 1918 date in the newspaper article may have been her 'cover story' during the custody trial, otherwise why would she re-marry in 1922?6,7 She and William Beach Jones were divorced before 1920.1 She married C Bernal Kahrs on 6 July 1922 in Oakland, Alameda, California, USA.3 She and C Bernal Kahrs were divorced circa 1931.8 She married Leon Merton Nickerson before 1940.9 She died on 5 January 1985 in Los Angeles County, California, USA, at age 88.4 She was buried after 5 January 1985 in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Los Angeles, California, USA. Aaron Wilson Craft1

M, #4919, b. 2 August 1886, d. 23 July 1969
He was born on 2 August 1886 in Menifee County, Kentucky, USA.2 He married Caroline Virginia Hogg, daughter of Hiram D Hogg and Analisa Back, circa 1906; Married 4 years in 1910 census.3 He died before 1930. Caroline is listed as widowed in the 1930 census. He died on 23 July 1969 in San Bernardino County, California, USA, at age 82. I am not sure about this. He is buried next to Mary while Caroline Hogg Craft is buried in Ohio. There is another Aaron Craft living in Kentucky in the 1940 US Census with Mary, that could be the Aaron Craft bruied in California.
Caroline Virginia Hogg is listed as widowed in the 1930 census and later city directories. They may have separated and she just listed herself as a widow.2,1 He was buried after 23 July 1969 in Bellevue Memorial Park, Ontario, San Bernardino, California, USA.1
