That act reduced the minimum price of public land to $1.25 per acre, and the minimum purchase to 80 acres, but required payment in cash, not on credit. His tract was described as the NW¼ of section 25, township 8N, range 12E of the 6th PM. Certificate number 66 in Otoe County, Nebraska, USA.4 He died on 5 August 1903 in Dunbar, Otoe, Nebraska, USA, at age 82.2 He was buried after 5 August 1903 in Wyuka Cemetery, Nebraska City, Otoe, Nebraska, USA.
