  • On 24 April 1888 William Veeder van Petten obtained a land patent for 160 acres of land under the Cash Entry Act of 24 Apr 1820. That act reduced the minimum price of public land to $1.25 per acre, and the minimum purchase to 80 acres, but required payment in cash, not on credit. His tract was described as the NE¼ of section 35, township 3N, range 35W of the 6th PM. Certificate number 1765 in Hitchcock County, Nebraska, USA.5
  • On 31 March 1890 William Veeder van Petten obtained a land patent for 160 acres of land under the Cash Entry Act of 24 Apr 1820.
