This is based on the years married provided in the 1900 US Census.3,4 She married Robert Bullock van Petten, son of Dr. Peter van Petten and Lydia Bullock, on 31 October 1888 in Winterset, Madison, Iowa, USA.2,1 She died on 11 July 1918 in Becker County, Minnesota, USA, at age 69. This may not be correct, the 1900 US census for Robert Bullock van Patten lists him as widowed. I didn't find anyone in her family that was living in Minnesota, nor did I find her in the 1910 census. Plus the death record is for a Margaret Shippy w hich would suggest she separated from Robert, moved to Minnesota and took her first married name. Seems unlikely.5,3
