Chillicothe - Goldie M. Forney, age 83, of 1305 Bayberry Court, Chillicothe, died on Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at 5:15 p.m. at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Chillicothe. She was born on Sept. 3, 1925, in Washington, Ill., the daughter of Emmit and Anna (Noska) Ridgeway. She married Earl E. Forney on Sept. 3, 1941. He preceded her in death. Surviving are her children, Barbara James of Chillicothe, Carolyn Davis of Oregon, Wis., Rosie Dunbar of Fort Madison, Iowa, Susan Forney of East Peoria, Robert Forney of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Kenneth Forney of Ziegler; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, George (Jeanne) Ridgeway of Casper, Wyo.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and one grandson. She worked for Pepsi Cola in Peoria for more than 30 years before retiring. She was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. The Rev. James Clark will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Rescue 33.
