     Peter Maverick was also known as Peter Bull No explanation was provided for this alais which was the name he was ordained with as a priest in 1574 and as a Vicar in 1580.1 He was born circa 1550 in Devon, England.1 He was the son of Robert Maverick.2 Peter Maverick married Dorothy Tucke on 7 November 1577 in Awliscombe, Devon, England.1 Peter Maverick died before 3 February 1616/17. Elizabeth French reports he died a violent death but no further explanation. A new Vicar was installed on Feb 3 1616/17.1
